Linda Staunch is President and CEO of Linda Staunch & Associates, an innovative public relations/marketing communication agency in New Bern, North Carolina.  Her clientele spans a range of businesses, professions, and organizations including health care, economic development, tourism, education and small business initiatives.  She has worked with Forbes Magazine and was the official Coordinator of the 1998 Pepsi 100th Anniversary Celebration.  Linda has also produced 3 successful Retirement Expos and has won numerous awards for strategic communications programming.  She was a marketing consultant for the Pepsi Americas Sail, which was held in Beaufort, NC in July, 2006, and is media consultant for the 300th anniversary of the city of New Bern, NC, in 2010.

Linda co-produces and hosts the popular local television show “Around Town…with Linda Staunch”, which appears on the local cable channel and on FOX TV in the eastern region.  She also writes a local column for the Trent Woods Times.

Prior to establishing her agency in 1995, Linda was a member of the senior executive team at Craven Regional Medical Center, a leading health provider in Coastal Carolina. There she was responsible for marketing, public relations, strategic planning, government relations, fundraising and volunteer administration for 12 years.

Linda has been active in numerous local, state, and national professional organizations, and serves as a board member of the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce, the Craven County Tourism Development Authority, Coastal Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross, Centura Bank, New Bern Mt. Olive College, the New Bern Military Alliance, and MERCI Clinic.  She serves on the state board of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is Past President and current member of the NCCF Craven County Affiliate.  In addition she is the founding President of the Craven County Chapter of the North Carolina Symphony and serves on the state symphony board as well. An active member of the New Bern Rotary Club, she was the first female President of the local organization and is a Paul Harris Fellow. On a state and national level, she has served on the boards of the American Hospital Association Society for Health Care Marketing and Public Relations, the Carolinas Health PR and Marketing Society, and Leadership North Carolina. Linda served many years on the North Carolina State Coordination Council (SHCC), as Vice-Chairman of the Long Term Care and Behavioral Health Committee.  She is an active member of the Board of the North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry (NCCBI) where she serves as Vice Chair of the Small Business Advisory Board.  In addition, she has been tapped for numerous task forces and advisory committees including the Craven County Strategic Planning efforts in 1998 and 1994. Linda also serves on the Cape Lookout National Seashore Friends Board and the Advisory Board for the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. She is a frequent guest speaker covering a variety of topics.

Linda is a graduate of Peace College in Raleigh, North Carolina, and of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She earned a Master’s Degree at East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina.

Linda and her husband Dick live in New Bern, are the parents of three adult daughters, and have two grandchildren.  They are long time members of the First Presbyterian Church.
